Pilates is complete coordination
of body, mind and spirit.

My pilates journey started in 2001 and I am still as passionate about it now as I was then. It is a great way of exercising without putting your body through the excesses that other fitness classes make you do.

Orginally qualifying as a Body Control Pilates (BCPA) teacher, over the years I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some of the best classical teachers in the UK and the States and still get excited by the Pilates Method, which was first developed by Joseph Pilates in 1926.

The classical mat makes you concentrate just on what your body is doing, if your mind wonders, you lose your flow.

Pilates for Parkinson's
One of the most rewarding things for me is that I have been able to use the pilates principles to develop a new exercise routine specifically for clients with Parkinson’s running a weekly class for ‘Parkinson’s Guildford and Surrey Branch’. Helping to stretch and strengthening the body, and by improving the connection between your mind and your body.

If you would like to know more about either the Pilates classes I run in West Horsley or the Parkinson’s class in West Clandon, it would be lovely to hear from you.
